Cerebral Function Unit

The Cerebral Function Unit, located in Greater Manchester Neuroscience Centre at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, is a regional referral centre for the investigation and diagnosis of degenerative neurological disorders.

The unit was set up with the aim of improving clinical services to patients with degenerative neurological disorders through greater accuracy of clinical diagnosis and better understanding of the cognitive and behavioural symptoms of these conditions.

The unit has an international reputation for its multidisciplinary research, which spans the fields of neurology, neurobiology, neuropathology, neuropsychology, psychiatry and genetics.
